National Day of prayer 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (The Message) Simple Faith and Plain Truth The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (New Living Translation) Instructions about Worship I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2 NKJV Pray for All Men 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. Prayer points Pray for the President The Congress The US Supreme Court and the judges in any upcoming judicial appointments in the future. State and local authorities I pray for Our mayor, and all in our city and local governmental officials and offices. I pray the local government would be able to attract more jobs to our area and surrounding areas. That you oh Lord would give them wisdom in this area, so that they would know how to attract New thriving businesses that would be good for our area to our area. I pray that family friendly and upward growing business would be attracted to and come to our city. I pray that there would be a decrease of bars, liquor stores, and girlie shows or any bad venues in our city. That these types of business would be driven out by progress and improvements & other good business taking their places. I pray for our police and fire departments, our city governmental offices, our courts, our judges, our police chief and the police officers. I pray as our EMTs, police and fire personal as they go out on their daily routines that you Oh Lord would protect them and guide them as they are out on their beats give them wisdom, guidance, protection, and help as they are caring for our community. I pray that they would use the most effective way to fight crime in our city. So effective that they would be ahead of the game. That God would give them insight into we're they are to be and that's what time they are to be there. Giving them divine guidance. And giving the detectives divine guidance and figuring out all the criminal activities. I pray that our government the leaders in our police officers, not only in our city and surrounding areas than in our entire nation would be one step ahead of the criminals. I pray for the criminals, bad people, or terrorists, or people just doing Satan's bidding, or anyone wanting to do harm, or about to do harm to any person, place, or thing, they would be deterred from their intended thought, plan or crime. I pray that They would be stopped thwarted found out or uncovered turned in by their friends or family members or even enemies. I pray that they would be stopped by their own stupidity. I pray that they would find Jesus. And many crimes would be diverted and stopped and thwarted because of Jesus. I pray for our nation not only against the terrorists and criminals but against the enemy of our souls. Satan is out to destroy our nation in every turn and he will use any one or anybody. I pray in the name of Jesus that Satan would be stopped before he can even get going. I pray that the cohorts of Satan would not be able to go forward with their game plans. I pray that they would be stopped at every turn, turned in, found out, uncovered or even goofed up or foiled by their own devices or plans. I pray that no plans of the enemy would prosper. And no weapon formed against our nation shall prosper. I pray protection for our nation its people and its government's. I pray protection for our waterways, our air ways, our transportation systems, our computer Internet systems, our banking systems, our telecommunication systems, our intelligence and satellite gathering systems, our governmental intelligence agencies systems, our food systems and sources our trucking systems. I pray for our economic stimulus package. I pray for our economic recovery package. I pray that the government would have wisdom on how to bring us out of recession. But there would be a plan set in place that will work to bring us out of a depression recession or whatever. I pray you would send a person Like a Joseph to our leaders. <> I pray that our food supply and water supply would be protected from poisoning or contamination of any kind. I pray for our boarders that they would be safe watched and protected. I pray for our ports of entry systems as well as all our borders by land sea and air. I pray for protection and wisdom concerning all these systems in our country. I pray that many people that are losing their homes would find a way to keep them. I pray that Americans would come up with American ingenuity on ways to save gas save money and save our economy. And I pray that it would be able to come through quickly without a lot of red tape. Lord open the doors for progress and open the doors for change in America. Put the smart people of God to work on saving our planet, our economy, and our world. It would be a good reality show a Lord, let that come to pass. A reality show where contestants try to make a car that runs the most efficiently with the least amount of trouble and cost. Then after the show that idea would be adapted into our society. Lord I pray for the military at home and abroad. Train them up right. And as they go forth to do their duty keep them safe, keep them grounded in founded in the word of God and in you God. Help them to reach out to you God and Help them to know you God and sense and feel the Holy Spirits guidance. Help them to walk with you God. Be with our military and our military leaders as well as the families of the military personnel, and speak to them and give them wisdom guidance and direction at every hand and for all situations daily. Help the military and the families of the military personnel to overcome the long deployments. Give them creative ways to communicate and stay close to their loved ones. And when they are home give them special times together that mean a lot. Help them to stay faithful and true to their love ones and keep the families together and provide for the family's needs. Comfort those Lord who have lost loved ones or who are grieving right now. Some who have lost loved ones through war, divorce, accidents, bad weather, fire, separation, or death. Comfort the lost lonely and depressed comfort the grieving. Oh Lord I know that there's people out there that have not only lost loved ones, but they've lost, Homes to foreclosure, or disaster, floods, fires, tornadoes, or hurricanes, bankruptcy loss of jobs, sickness or disease. Lord where there have been loss like this, help the people find jobs, & better jobs, find money and provisions, places to live, Help them to find restoration and to rebuild. Restore their jobs, their health, and their dignity. And Satan you remember anything you've stolen you have to return to hundred fold to God's people. So I pray in the name of Jesus God's people will get back their jobs, and even better jobs, their homes and even better homes. I pray that their families and their health would also be restored. I pray God that you would give our intelligence agencies wisdom and direction in what to do and when to do it and how to do it. Give them insight. Help them to be a head of the game. Help them to infiltrate the enemy's camps oh Lord. I pray for our president and governmental leaders to realize that the production of ethanol is not wise right now we need the production of corn to go to our food supply and not our transportation and gas supply. I pray that they would find new ways to make ethanol with other things like weeds or garbage, something that is expendable and easily accessible and not used for food. Lord you know right now there is a food shortage in the world we need all of our corn to go to corn not to gas and transportation we need our corn to make food products for animals so that they can eat corn like chickens and beef and other places that we need it so badly Lord I pray against a food shortage not only in our country and in our nation but in the nations around the world. I lift up to you oh Lord the down and out, the poor, the needy, the hungry in our land and in the nations around the world. I humbly ask you to feed them Lord help them Lord to meet their needs. Be their very present help in time of trouble, and be with them & minister, grace, food, provision, warmth, clothing and whatever else they need. Lord You know our needs before we can ask. But I ask for those who are too weak to ask for help healing deliverance and grace. <>I pray for the 2008 up coming presidential elections. I pray the truth about each candidate would be exposed and come out for the upcoming elections. I pray for the right person to get in the office of the President. I pray once they're in the office of the President that they will do your bidding God. They will listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and be opened to the cries of the people. I pray they will do what's right for our nation to make it one nation under God. I thank you Lord for the revival that has been started in Florida I pray the Lord will send that revival all across the country & Our nation and the world. Because you said in your Word Lord. In 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 (NKJV) if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. Proverbs 29: 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Lord I pray Isaiah 32:1 (The Message Bible) That we would put up ruler in office that would do the right things for our country. And whoever gets the office of president would be guided and directed by you. I pray that They would make sound and noble decisions, & they would not turn their back on the homeless, hungry, the unborn, or dying the weak, sickly, or infirmed. They would stand for what is right and noble. And it would make this country a safer place to live. They would protect our people both here and abroad. Isaiah 32:1 (The Message Bible) Safe Houses, Quiet Gardens 1-8 But look! A king will rule in the right way, and his leaders will carry out justice. Each one will stand as a shelter from high winds, provide safe cover in stormy weather. Each will be cool running water in parched land, a huge granite outcrop giving shade in the desert. Anyone who looks will see, anyone who listens will hear. The impulsive will make sound decisions, the tongue-tied will speak with eloquence. No more will fools become celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame. For fools are fools and that's that, thinking up new ways to do mischief. They leave a wake of wrecked lives and lies about God, Turning their backs on the homeless hungry, ignoring those dying of thirst in the streets. And the crooks? Underhanded sneaks they are, inventive in sin and scandal, Exploiting the poor with scams and lies, unmoved by the victimized poor.
