My Plan and Reason: Why I Choose Germany.

You see, I love animals from my childhood and I always have dreams of being a vet doctor. Now I have a Labrador Retriever dog, 2 cats, a Grammostola Rosea spider. I wish I can live and work with animals, take care of pets, observe and study on the wild animals. However I couldn’t learn Veterinary when I took the University entrance exam. When I made this decision, I find University Leipzig is my best choice for some reason: the education of Germany is well known due to its advance and precise; Veterinary of University Leipzig is famous in the world; and it’s cheap enough for me to hold on. I know the story of Polar Bear Knut and it attracts me. Seeing Knut and his relationship with his caretaker Thomas Dörflein inspired me in some way. So I think Germany is a good country for studying and protecting animals. And I also know there is a big zoo in Leipzig, I saw the photos of it by internet. There is a Max Planck institute beside the zoo which is the biggest base for raising Primates like monkeys, apes and chimpanzees and study on the behaves of them. It’s the project I’m interested in. I wish to study in University Leipzig not because I can get a certificate, but the knowledge I can learn there. All I want is that one day I can use my knowledge to help the animals on our planet, protect them from suffering. For this dream, I have to study form the beginning and give up my major, my job, even my life with family. But it’s worth. Though I think the study of Chemistry may do some helps. My plan is to learn German in China for 800 hours, now I’m learning in a Deutsch Kurs in Tongji University and I went to the Germany Residency every week to take part in their culture communications they invited me to practice my spoken German. In the September of next year, I’ll get at least 800 hours German learning and go to German, continue learning German in the IntDAF which is a big language school in Leipzig for half a year. Then I’ll pass the DSH exam to enter the University though I’ve got the Zu of it. Studying veterinary will take me at least 5 and half a year. Meanwhile I’ll focus on studying for I know medicine is a very difficult subject. I think I will not have enough time to do the part time job, unless it’s the practice about animals or pets. As I said, when I finished my study in Germany, I wish to go home to live with my family. The Vet medicine has been very well in Germany, but still very poor in China. I hope one day I can have my own animal hospital in Shanghai and help the pets and stray animals, protect them from suffering. Fortunately, my family accepted and supposed my crazy dream. I’m the only child in my family because of the one child policy. My father is a professor of Shanghai Electrical Engineering University. He teaches Autodetection and wrote a lot of books. My mother was a secretary of a water pump factory. The factory became a joint venture company with a German company which called KSB AG. And my mother became the director. She went to Germany for twice, and she have some German friends who live in Shanghai. So she knows about Germany and German people and appreciates at the education of Germany. Now she is retired and takes some part time job in the district Court. I’ve been working for 3 years so I saved some money, too, about 100K. If I go to Germany, they will give me another 100K for the first year, and 50K for every year later.
